The Image of God
Here are some verses on the image of God:
Ezekiel 20:7
And I said to them, “Each of you, get rid of the vile images you have set your eyes on, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.”
Ezekiel 37:23
They will no longer defile themselves with their idols and vile images or with any of their offenses…
Daniel 3:14
…Nebuchadnezzar said to them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods…”
Acts 17:29
“Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone–an image made by human design and skill…”
Romans 1:23
…and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
Romans 8:29
For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

I often believe that I have been such a disppaointment. But, know that when God sees me he sees Jesus. But, here is what I often think about. If God sees Jesus who died for all of our sins, what does Jesus see when he looks down on earth. I try so very hard to be a good person and when I try really hard, I fail. But, when I run to Jesus to say I am sorry, he holds out his arms takes me into a tight hug and tells me it is okay. Go try again but, let me help you. Each day is better than the day before.
