We have been blessed by the speakers who have spoken at the Chapel through the years. Here’s a quick reference to help you find additional information about each guest.
Dr. Pastor Frederick Boyd and his wife Attorney Elaine Boyd

The genesis of the Creation Evidence Expo was April 18, 2001, when Dr. Carl Baugh and Pastor Fredrick Boyd, Jr., met. The event was an annual home missions conference at the Bible Baptist Church in Salt Lake City, Utah which brought pastors and missionaries together with pastors preaching and encouraging, and missionaries sharing their needs.
During the conference, Pastor Boyd spoke afterward with Dr. Baugh. At that time Pastor Boyd was unaware that Dr. Baugh is one of the leading creationists and hosts a television show, “Creation in the 21st Century”, but the relationship between these men grew. On March 30, 2005, Pastor Boyd again preached at the conference referring to the text, 1 Peter 1:18-19, “We were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold . . . But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” He declared, “I say that all who are in Christ Jesus are ‘blood brothers and sisters’.” From that day, Dr. Baugh referred to Pastor Boyd as his “blood brother”. When he again said, “I know the Lord wants me to come to Indianapolis and work with you on creation,” Pastor Boyd responded, “I would love to work with you Dr. Baugh, but we don’t have the funds to make it happen.” Immediately, the Holy Spirit prompted Pastor Boyd: “You don’t, but I do.” Upon hearing that voice, Pastor Boyd submitted to the Lord‘s will, trusting Him to provide.
Zion Unity Baptist in Indianapolis is Pastor’s Boyd’s home congregation where he ministers every Sunday morning. Every year this congregation hosts a Christmas revival that is truly remarkable. The singing and teaching are a great blessing in preparing for the New Year.
Pastor Boyd founded the Creation Evidence Expo and hosts a multiple day even every September. This event here in French Village will be the fourth by a program from the Expo called Creation Evidence Expo on the Road. One year the event was hosted at the North St. Louis church of Christ that met in a transformed Catholic Cathedral. This Expo on the Road just returned from the Bahamas. They have done amazing events in the Fuji Islands and the Dominican Republic. God has used this ministry to preach The Gospel founded in the Genesis historical record of the Creation of the World to thousands of people. Hallelujah!
Elaine Boyd is a lawyer, pastor’s wife, singer, teacher and pro-life worker for The Kingdom of God. She works side by side with her husband of many years.
Carl Kerby
www.rforh.com | Facebook | Twitter | Vimeo
Carl Kerby grew up in a liberal church that taught evolution could be mixed with God’s Word. In 1987 Carl Kerby became a Christian after attending a crusade in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Carl was an air traffic controller in the military in the late 1980’s. After riding in the cockpit on a flight to see his father, the creation vs. evolution issue came up during a conversation with the pilots. The co-pilot merely showed him from the Bible that evolution was a totally different worldview that could not be in harmony with the Scripture. He introduced Carl to Ken Ham’s book The Lie: Evolution. After reading it,Carl’s faith was totally changed. He learned that from the very first book, God’s Word stands true.
Carl has been an air traffic controller at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, one of the busiest airports in the world.
Carl has a particular burden to reach the people of Japan. Carl met his wife when he was an air traffic controller in Japan during the early 1980s.
Carl’s passion is to proclaim the authority and accuracy of the Bible and to engage the minds and hearts of believers and unbelievers in todays’ culture so that they may experience the realities the Word of God. This happens every time Carl speaks. Whether he speaks to youth or adult, large or small crowds, churches or schools, Carl has a way of connecting with almost everybody; that is one of the reasons Carl was one of Answers in Genesis‘ most dynamic and sought-after speakers.
Carl was a founding Board Member of Answers in Genesis for 10 years and served there for over 15 years before stepping out in faith to become President and Founder of Reasons for Hope, Inc. Though Carl has played many roles in his life (son of a professional wrestler, air-traffic controller at O’Hare Intl. Airport, and widely known speaker for Answers in Genesis), his most cherished accomplishment is his marriage to his wife, Masami, for over 28 years, and his role as a father to his daughter, Alisa, and his son, Carl, Jr., and grandfather to his grandchildren, Trey, Naomi Joy and Mari Hayashida.
