Francis Lloyd Porter Memorial Service

Francis Lloyd Porter (known as “Lloyd” to his friends) was a husband to Annalee Porter, a father to Patti and Linda, and the nephew of Dr. Carl and Dorothy Painter. He and Annalee were married by a Justice of the Peace the day before he shipped out with the U.S. Navy, where he served as a gunner on an aircraft carrier. Later, when the war was over, Lloyd and Annalee began a bakery, and then F. L. Porter Foods, a wholesale food distributor which is still family owned and operated. One of his lifelong loves was horses, and his prize Tennessee Walker stallion Jim Dandy was a living legend. He was a compassionate man, with a strong work ethic and a love for singing to His Lord.
